Old Mill Brewery and Grill for donating a day's proceeds from their business to TLC Meals on Wheels at the end of July!

The Littleton Elks for their second annual car show, which drew a huge crowd and turned out to be a great fundraiser to help us feed the aging and disabled people in our community.

The Chevelle Car Club for yet another car show that resulted in a generous donation for TLC Meals on Wheels.

Mitch Samu and the Columbine United Church for the world premier production of "A Most Unlikely Trio," a packed-house concert featuring three of the areas finest vocalists; Robert Johnson, Barry Brown and Erik Bryan together in an evening of awesome music.  It was brilliantly entertaining and the outcome for TLC Meals on Wheels was terrific. 

The Makery for donating Birthday Cakes - To help celebrate each of our meal recipients’ birthdays, drivers will now carry a piece of cake provided by the Makery Cake Company in Centennial (see www.themakery.com) along with a birthday card.  Special thanks to Desiree Kelly (Sugar Artist and Owner) for making this service possible!

Our Executive Director, Phil Miller, took part in the Meals on Wheels Association of America annual conference in Atlanta at the end of August.  At least 600 leaders from the wide variety of meals on wheels programs across the nation (yes, including Alaska and Hawaii, not to mention Vermont, Florida, Arizona, and Oregon) came together to share ideas in how to end senior hunger in America by 2020. 

And thanks to all those "extra" volunteers, including many from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Charity League and students from Columbine High School and Arapahoe High School who have delivered groceries on Saturdays throughout 2010 and 2011.
